Self-portrait
In the summer of 1950, I drew this self-portrait at the house of Atoe in Ikime Village.
Atoe’s house I made a ray case on the tail hanging roof of the thatched roof.
I remember drawing with a lot of energy, keeping in mind what was drawn in the still life color of Toriumi.
At that time, I drew it on the eastern porch.
Professor Takeshi Hayashi praised this background at Musashino Art University.
